Ah-Shi-Sle- Pah

This spectacular area near Chaco Canyon and Georgia OKeeffe's Black Place. Now under seige from oil and gas wells. There is still opportuniity to capture grat images. Access is via dirt road on the Navajo Reseration. Most of the formations and hoodoos are in the Fruitland formation which is rich in fossiles and low grade petrefied wood. There is a steep scramble down to a wash and then an upslope to the base of the hoodoos this site can be accessed along with a visit to one of the ruins in Chaco Canyon.
