Bosque del Apache NWR

Sandhill Cranes and Light Geese are up north during the summer months. We start to see some arrivals in mid October but mid November through the end of January give us great opportunity. I live in Moriarty NM about  130 miles north east of the preserve. In the evenings wings of cranes fly over my home. In early spring cranes feed in the feed corn fields around Moriarty and the Estancia Valley.
